【Institute for Advanced Biosciences】 15th High School Bio Summit Held in Tsuruoka

The final round of the 15th High School Bio Summit in Tsuruoka was held from August 27 to 29, 2025, at the Tsuruoka Metabolome Campus.

The Bio Summit is a nationwide research competition where high school students gather to present their work through research exhibitions, oral and poster presentations, as well as participate in discussions on bioscience. The event also includes awards for outstanding projects, marking its 15th edition this year.

For the 15th summit, following a document screening process, 140 students from 59 schools across 19 prefectures in Japan and one overseas location presented 98 research projects in the first round held on August 6 (online via Zoom).
In the final round held in Tsuruoka on August 27, 81 participants representing 55 projects advanced to present their work in a poster presentation format.
