The 16th International Symposium on Tardigrada (Chair: Kazuharu Arakawa, Director of the IAB, Keio University) was held from June 23 (Mon) to June 27 (Fri), 2025, at the Tsuruoka Metabolome Campus in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture.

This marked the first time the symposium was held in Asia, bringing together researchers from 17 countries around the world.
