【Institute for Advanced Biosciences】 New Insights into the Cancer-Related Protein SLFN11 — A Potential Key to Advancing Precision Medicine

A research group led by Akane Ogawa (fourth-year undergraduate student at the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University) and Project Associate Professor Junko Murai of the IAB, Keio University—who also serves as an Associate Professor at the Proteo-Science Center, Ehime University, and a Visiting Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Biostudies, Kyoto University—has clarified the function of SLFN11 (Schlafen 11), a key protein known to enhance the effectiveness of cancer chemotherapy.

The findings are expected to contribute to the advancement of precision medicine in cancer treatment.
