Metagen, Inc. in collaboration with a group led by Dr. Kazuo Yamashiro, Associate Professor, Department of Neurology, Juntendo University Urayasu Hospital, evaluated the relationship between gut microbiota and neuroinflammation associated with Alzheimer’s disease and other disorders.
Consequently, they discovered the certain intestinal bacteria levels were notably lower in Alzheimer’s patients and those with mild cognitive impairment.
