[Invitation] Call for Participants: Tsuruoka Institute for Gastronomic Innovation Kickoff Events (September 12 & 19)

We are pleased to invite participants to attend the kickoff events for the Tsuruoka Institute for Gastronomic Innovation (also known as the Tsuruoka Food Culture Creation Institute), to be held on September 12 and September 19.

This initiative is promoted by a consortium including Tsuruoka City, Yamagata University, the Institute for Advanced Biosciences, Keio University, the Shonai Regional Industry Promotion Center, and Fermecutes Inc., and has been selected under the Cabinet Office’s Regional University and Regional Industry Revitalization Grant Program.

Through this project, we aim to foster new food industry development and enhance the value of traditional local food culture, driven by collaboration among government, academia, and industry.
In June this year, the institute was established along with the launch of its consortium, and collaborative research with major food companies is planned.

To commemorate the establishment of the institute, kickoff events will be held as follows:
