【Metagen, Inc.】 Intake of Partially Hydrolyzed Guar Gum Suppresses Mortality in an Animal Model of SARS-CoV-2 Infection — Suggesting the Involvement of Gut Microbiota-Derived Metabolites

Metagen, Inc., in collaboration with Project Professor Shinji Fukuda and Project Assistant Professor Jiayue Yang of the IAB, Keio University, and Associate Professor Takeshi Ichinohe of the International Research Center for Infectious Diseases, The Institute of Medical Science, The University of Tokyo, has demonstrated that intake of the dietary fiber partially hydrolyzed guar gum (PHGG) significantly suppresses mortality in hamsters infected with SARS-CoV-2 in an animal infection model.
